Dr. Chen is deeply passionate about teaching piano to students of all ages and skill levels. She applies a student-centered teaching approach, with a strong emphasis on integrating Dalcroze Eurhythmics principles into her private lessons, incorporating movement, singing, and improvisation. Through this innovative piano teaching methodology, Dr. Chen's goal is to empower her students, encouraging them to embrace their uniqueness, nurture their passion, and thoroughly enjoy their musical journeys.
In her roles as a piano pedagogy instructor at the University of Toronto, Teacher Training Lead in the children’s pedagogy program, and an RCM Practical Examiner, Dr. Chen firmly believes that playing the piano is a multi-dimensional activity. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes fostering independent thinking, instilling discipline, exploring inner thoughts and emotions, and most importantly, deriving pleasure from playing the piano. She finds immense personal joy in teaching piano to students of all ages and levels, guiding them whether they aspire to become professional pianists or simply to enjoy the piano as a hobby. Dr. Chen encourages her students to discover their unique musical paths and explore a diverse range of music genres. Her students consistently achieve outstanding results in RCM examinations and have received numerous accolades in national and international competitions. Dr. Chen warmly welcomes piano students aged 5 and older. Lessons can be conducted in either English or Mandarin Chinese, depending on the preferences of each student. Dr. Chen actively encourages her students to participate in recitals, competitions, and festivals to support their comprehensive musical development. |
陳沛䎖（霈籈）博士主張以學生為中心的教學方法，並且融入達克羅士節奏法的教學理念，透過韻律、唱歌和即興演奏的鋼琴教學方法，讓學習鋼琴可以身心結合。沛䎖鼓勵所有的學生發揮自己的獨特性，培養他們的對音樂的熱情，並徹底享受他們的音樂學習之旅。
作為多倫多大學鋼琴教學講師、兒童鋼琴教學組的教學培訓導師，以及加拿大皇家音樂院的鋼琴考官，沛䎖堅信彈奏鋼琴是一項多方面的藝術活動。她的教學理念圍繞著培養獨立思考、灌輸紀律、探索內在思想和情感，以及最重要的是從彈奏鋼琴中獲得樂趣。霈籈深信無論學生想成為專業鋼琴家或僅享受彈奏鋼琴作為一種愛好，每一位學生都可以在彈琴過程中展現自我，尋找在音樂上的獨特之處。她的學生在加拿大皇家音樂院考試中都獲得優異的成績，並在國內外比賽中獲得了許多榮譽。 歡迎五歲以上的大小朋友報名上課。學生可選擇以中文、英文或雙語授課。上課內容可依照學生的興趣與要求進行調整。陳博士積極鼓勵學生參加音樂會、比賽和音樂節，促進每位學生全面的音樂發展。每學年會定期舉辦學生音樂會，讓學生有上台演出的機會，也讓家長共同參與學生的成長過程。 |
