Through the mythology of many cultures around the world, people explore the depth of their desire through stories of water spirits that share a common theme: dreams and desires, and the great sacrifices that they demand. Combining the concept of audiobooks, miniseries, and classical concerts, four water spirits stories will be presented, both in music and in words.

“Life is like a jigsaw puzzle." This performance explores the composer  Cecilia Livingston's Three Memories for Piano that resonant with my own narrative, the dancers’ bodies, and perhaps, your stories. Over the Hill and Far Away describes a walk into the woods. What do you see and hear? Is it a dream, or is it real? Through The Glass expresses how we see things differently as adults from when we were children, even for those things that seem the same.
Founded in 2019, Sirius Piano Duo is passionate about connecting Canadian and Chinese culture through music by promoting both music literature transformed into piano duet arrangements, merging classical music with different genres, and collaborating with local composers. In 2021, Sirius Piano Duo was the recipient of the Orford Music Scholarship to record the Canadian piano duet series - The Northern Lights.

Sirius Piano Duo was founded by pianists Pei-Chen Chen and Mengjie Xiong, who first crossed paths during their studies in graduate school in Toronto, Canada. Their establishment stands as a testament to the pursuit of musical excellence, cultural connections, and the transformative power of collaborative artistry.
